Man arrested following Watford firearm incident

Detectives have arrested a 20 year old suspect in connection with the incident involving a firearm near Watford railway station over the summer

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into an incident involving a firearm in Watford. Police were called shortly before 4 pm on Wednesday, 10 July, to reports of an altercation outside the railway station on the High Street.

The incident involved shots reportedly fired towards a man in his 20s who was seated on a bench. The victim was subsequently struck on the head with an object believed to be a firearm, resulting in a minor injury. Two suspects then left the area on an e-bike.

Following extensive enquiries, a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Monday, 28 October. He was released on police bail while the investigation continues.
