A 20-year-old man from High Wycombe has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal collision on Daws Hill Lane last night (24 July).

Enquiries show the crash began at about 7.40pm when an Audi and a VW Polo collided. The Audi then continued along the road and struck a Honda Jazz on the roundabout at the junction with Kennedy Avenue.

Two young men who were passengers in the Audi have died as a result of the collision.

Detective Chief Inspector Justin Thomas said: “Very sadly, two young men who were in the Audi vehicle have died as a result of this collision. Their next of kin have been informed and our thoughts and sympathies are with their family and friends.

“The occupants of the other two vehicles suffered minor injuries.

“This is a very complicated scene and the road is likely to be closed for the majority of the day to enable us to carry out enquiries at the location.

“I am appealing to anybody who saw the collision or has any information which could help to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I would also appeal to anybody who may have dash-cam or video footage from around the time of the collision to please contact us.

“I would urge people not to upload footage onto social media platforms out of respect for those involved as well as their families and friends.”
