A man in his 90s has died after a fatal collision in Hemel Hempstead on Saturday (August 26).

Police were called to the scene on Warners End Road at around 11:07, where a blue Ford Fusion had hit a parked van, whilst travelling towards Leighton Buzzard Road.

The driver of the Ford Fusion, the man in his 90s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene - his next of kin are being supported by officers.

He was the only person in the vehicle.

Police are appealing for witnesses, dash cam footage and information following the fatal crash.

Sergeant Mark Casey from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this very difficult time.

“We are continuing with our enquiries and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it. If you have a dash cam fitted, please review your footage as you may have captured something which could assist with our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to please email Mark.Casey@beds.police.uk.
