Man, 90s, dies after car crashes into tree in Hemel Hempstead

Police are appealing for information after a car crashed into a tree in Hemel Hempstead, killing a man.

It happened at around 6.20pm on Tuesday 25 November in Aldwyck Court, near to Leighton Buzzard Rd.

It's reported that the driver of a red Honda Jazz, for reasons unknown at this time, left the carriageway and collided with a tree at the entrance to a block of flats.

The driver, a man in his 90s was taken to hospital, and has since sadly died.

Detective Sergeant Ben Heath from the Serious Collisions Investigation Team said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man at this difficult time.

“I am appealing to members of the public for witnesses and dash cam footage relating to this incident.

“If you have a dash cam fitted and were driving in the area at the time, please check it as you may have captured some important footage which could assist with our investigation. This can be uploaded via herts.police.uk/dashcamupload.”
