Major roadworks will take place across Buckinghamshire in the coming weeks, affecting key routes in High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Denham, Hogshaw, and Dagnall. Drivers are advised to plan ahead and expect delays.

Marlow Hill in High Wycombe will be closed overnight from Monday, 3 March, to Friday, 7 March, between 8.15pm and 6am for resurfacing and traffic signal loop reinstatements. Claydon Road in Hogshaw will also be closed during the day from Monday, 3 March, to Saturday, 8 March, between 9.30am and 3.30pm for resurfacing works.

Upper Road in Denham will be shut for footway structural repairs from Wednesday, 19 February, to Tuesday, 4 March, with closures in place between 8am and 5pm.

Long-term works are also planned in High Wycombe. Amersham Hill will have temporary traffic lights in place from Monday, 3 March, to Friday, 4 April, operating 9.30am to 3.30pm for footway repairs. White Hart Street will see full road and footway closures as part of a public realm improvement project from Monday, 28 October, to Thursday, 10 April, including night and weekend works.

Aylesbury town centre will also be affected. Market Square will be closed from Monday, 6 January 2025, to Friday, 28 March 2025, between 7am and 7pm, while Cambridge Street will be shut from Monday, 17 February 2025, to Friday, 28 March 2025, during the same hours for pedestrianisation works.

In Dagnall, Main Road North will be closed from Friday, 7 March, to Tuesday, 11 March, between 7.30am and 7pm for surface dressing preparation.

A Buckinghamshire Council spokesperson said: “We understand road closures can be disruptive, but these works are essential to maintaining and improving the county’s highways. We ask all road users to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.”

Drivers are urged to follow diversion routes and respect the workforce carrying out the repairs.
