M25 in Hertfordshire closed after oil spill
Officials say they're dealing with a "substantial" amount of oil.
The Highways Agency says the M25 clockwise between Hatfield (J23) and Enfield (J25) is likely to stay closed throughout this morning after cooking oil spilt across the highway yesterday.
In a statement, National Highways said:
"Traffic Officers and contractors remain on scene and are working to clear a large spillage of cooking oil from the carriageway.
"The road is likely to remain closed throughout the morning due to the complex nature of the clean-up."
The road was first closed yesterday (Tuesday), with officials working throughout the afternoon to clear up the oil.
A single lane was, eventually, re-opened - but has now been closed again.
