Part of the M1 in Bedfordshire has reopened after being closed this morning as police responded to an incident involving a vulnerable person.
National Highways say the road has reopened between Junction 11 and Junction 12, with delays now reducing.
Emergency services arrived at the scene in the early hours of the morning.
Drivers had been asked to avoid the area and to take alternative routes, following the incident.
Bedfordshire Police have this morning confirmed they remained at the scene for several hours, and asked members of the public to keep their phone lines free for emergency calls.
