M1 reopened southbound in Bedfordshire after lorry's detached trailer blocks lanes
Drivers were being urged to use diversion routes.

UPDATE (11:07) - The M1 southbound has now fully reopened following the incident this morning.
The M1 is closed southbound between Junction 13 (Brogborough) and Junction 12 (Toddington) due to a broken down lorry.
The vehicle lost its trailer which is laid sideways across all lanes of the carriageway.
National Highways say recovery is en route and their traffic officers are on the scene.
Diversion Routes:
- Road users are advised to follow the hollow square diversion symbol on road signs.
- Exit at J13 and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the Bedford Road.
- Continue on the Bedford Road to the crossroads of Bedford Road/Salford Road (A507).
- At the crossroads take a right turn onto the A507 Ridgemont by-pass.
- Continue on Ridgemont by-pass straight over Salford Road and Station Road roundabouts to the Station Road/A507 T–Junction.
- At the T–Junction, take a left turn onto the A507 to Ridgmont.
- Continue on the A507, through Ridgmont, to the A507/Fordfield Road Crossroads.
- At the crossroads take a right turn onto Fordfield Road.
- Continue on Fordfield Road and merge onto Steppingley Road.
- Continue on past Flitwick Railway Station to the Steppingley Road/A5120 Roundabout.
- At the roundabout take the second exit onto the A5120.
- Continue on the A5120 through the village of Westoning.
- Re-join the M1 at Junction 12.
Delays are likely on approach to the closure and diversion routes.
