A man has been arrested and charged after causing a major disturbance on a flight between Luton and Glasgow.

Officers from Police Scotland were called to detain a man who had boarded the flight heading to Glasgow on Sunday (July 27th).

The man, believed to be aged 41, was arrested by police shortly after the easyJet flight touched down at Glasgow Airport.

In a statement, the force said they believed the incident to be "contained" and that no other people were involved in the disturbance.

Counter-terrorism police have since been drafted in to cover the incident after the man shouted phrases including "Allahu Akhbar" and "Death to Trump".

EasyJet reported that its crew were "trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other customers is not compromised at any time".
