Leah Croucher's funeral has taken place in Milton Keynes today - over 4 years after she went missing on her walk to work.

A private service was held at Crownhill Crematorium but members of the public were invited to pay their respects along the route of the funeral cortege.

The procession left Emerson Valley in the morning and headed through Furzton, Shenley Brook End, Shenley Church End and Grange Farm.

The horses drawing the carriage were draped in the Gryffindor flag - a nod to Leah's love of Harry Potter.

Leah's family says they've found "comfort" in the support from the community.

The Church of the Servant King also opened its doors for members of the community to pay their respects

One lady watching the procession used to teach Leah:

"I was a TA at Shenley Brook End School when Leah was in her last year, in Year 11. She was such a lovely sweet quiet child, always willing to help, very polite, she was just a very very lovely girl"

Other onlookers gave us their thoughts:

"They'd not long lost her brother and then for Leah to go missing, I don't think we've ever grieved. This will be the final for all of us really"

"We're here to represent the community, because it could have been one of us, we've all got daughters"

"Leah's parents used to take my children to school in the morning and I used to pick them up in the afternoon. It's just unforgivable for the person who's done this"

"To see all of Furzton come out to stand on the bridge and along the road, it just shows that we are all a community, I think sometimes we forget that"

Leah's remains were found in the loft of a house in Furzton last October.

Convicted sex offender Neil Maxwell remains the prime suspect in her murder - he was found dead months after she went missing.
