Large fire breaks out at industrial unit in Letchworth Garden City

Fire crews have spent the morning tackling a large fire in Letchworth Garden City.

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue were called out to Jubilee Road in the early hours of this morning (2 May). The service said it sent 10 engines to the "significant incident."

People living nearby were told to keep their windows and doors closed.

At around 9am HFRS released an update confirming the fire is now under control and they are scaling back their response.

Crews will be on the scene for the rest of the morning dealing with the fire and providing support and fire safety advice to local businesses.
