High Wycombe man jailed for drug dealing

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man from High Wycombe has been jailed for a drugs supply offence.
Anees Basharat, aged 20, of Ogilvie Road was sentenced to three years and two months at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday (8/2).
He pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug – heroin.
At around 6pm on 30 July last year, officers conducted a stop and search on Basharat after witnessing a drug deal in Ogilvie Road, High Wycombe.
Basharat was subsequently arrested and a warrant was conducted at his home address, where 89 wraps of heroin were located, ready to be sold.
Investigating officer, PC Usman Shafique, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I hope this conviction sends yet another clear message and reminder that if you are involved in the supply of drugs, which has a detrimental impact on our society, the Stronghold team will work tirelessly to locate, arrest and put you before the courts.
