High Wycombe man convicted over Chalfont St Peter drug offences

A High Wycombe man has been convicted of drug offences.

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, Zain Abedin, aged 26, of Rowliff Road, High Wycombe, has been convicted of drug supply offences in Chalfont St Peter.

Abedin pleaded guilty at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (5/5). to one count each of:

  • possession with intent to supply cocaine
  • possession with intent to supply cannabis
  • acquiring/using or possessing criminal property

possession with intent to supply cannabis, and acquiring/using or possessing criminal property in a hearing

Abedin was arrested following the execution of a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant in Chalfont St Peter on Tuesday (4/5) and was charged on Wednesday.

After pleading guilty, Abedin was remanded in custody to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court for sentencing on a date to be confirmed.

Investigating officer PC O’Neill of the Amersham Stronghold Team, said:

“This arrest and charge was made after we executed a warrant at an address in Chalfont St Peter on Tuesday.

“Abedin was located inside the property and detained, and a quantity of cocaine and cannabis, as well as cash and other property was located.

“Abedin was arrested and charged on Wednesday, then he appeared at court and pleaded guilty.

“Thames Valley Police’s Stronghold Teams proactively and robustly pursue drug dealers, who bring great harm to our communities, and Abedin will now be sentenced accordingly in due course.

“We remain committed to removing drugs and drug dealers from our communities, and we will continue to seek and disrupt those that cause immense harm from their criminal activities.”
