A man has been sentenced for multiple offences in High Wycombe, including assault, false imprisonment, and supplying class A drugs.

22-year-old Wayne Palmer, of Weston Road, Ealing, London, was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday last week (19th March).

Palmer pleaded guilty to one count each of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, attempted robbery and false imprisonment, and two counts of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs of class A, namely crack cocaine and heroin, at the same court on 21st February.

At approximately 10pm on 13th December 2023, Palmer approached a man in his thirties on Priory Road and claimed that he owed him money for drugs.

The victim was then taken to an address on the same road where more demands were made for money.

Palmer then, along with an accomplice, violently attacked the victim for around four hours, leaving the victim with life-changing injuries.

Palmer was arrested on 2nd January 2024, and charged the following day.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Emily Sendall said: “I hope that the sentence handed down in this case shows that Thames Valley Police will not tolerate such senseless violence and drug dealing.

“I would like to thank the victim for his bravery in coming forward and his continued support of the investigation

“We would urge the public to report drug-dealing to Thames Valley Police, so we can develop intelligence into proactive investigations.
