Second arrest made following fatal High Wycombe crash
A fatal road traffic collision resulted in the deaths of two men in High Wycombe
A second arrest has been made in connection with a fatal road traffic collision that resulted in the deaths of two men in High Wycombe.
The crash occurred on the evening of Thursday, 24 July, at around 7.40pm.
Investigators have confirmed that a black Audi and a grey Volkswagen Polo were involved in a collision on Daws Hill Lane. A short time later, the Audi was again involved in a second crash with a Honda Jazz at the roundabout junction with Kennedy Avenue.
Two men who were in the Audi died as a result of the second collision. Their next of kin have been informed, and Thames Valley Police expressed their condolences to the families and friends affected.
Two other occupants of the Audi were taken to hospital following the crash but have since been discharged. The occupants of the Polo and the Honda Jazz sustained only minor injuries.
As part of the investigation, police arrested a 21-year-old man from High Wycombe on Tuesday, 29 July, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail until 21 October.
This follows the arrest of a 20-year-old man, also from High Wycombe, on Friday, 25 July, on the same charge. He was released on police bail until 16 October.
Thames Valley Police is continuing its investigation and is appealing to anyone who witnessed the collisions or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to come forward.
