A Hertfordshire based coach company are trying to give back to locals.

Masons Minibus and Coach Hire Ltd in Tring have been keeping busy recently, despite not being able to work to full capacity.

Since January they have helped over 100 people get to their vaccination appointments, raised over £350 in cash donations to support the Pitstone, Ivinghoe and Cheddington and have been dropping off gifted food donations.

Last Saturday, the staff washed over 100 cars to raise money for the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity based in Aylesbury. Here, they raised nearly £2000.

Candice Mason explained why they've been so pushed to help:

"We have been so well supported by our local community that we felt like it was important for us to give back.

"The last year has really made us, and I hope other people reflect on what happening on your doorstep and not thinking its always someone elses responsibility.

"There is a large proportion of the customer base that are in the vulnerable age bracket who have had quite a lonely year.

"So for us it was about what that group of people need."

The company have decided that in future fundraising and community support will continue to be a part of the regular work, with events like charity sky dives already planned.
