Cannabis factories found in Bushey and Borehamwood

Three men have been arrested in connection with the investigation

Three men have been arrested following the discovery of two cannabis factories in Hertsmere.

Police were alerted to the properties after large heat sources were spotted by the National Police Air Service (NPAS)

260 cannabis plants were seized in total, with 150 found at a property in Homefield Road, Bushey. A further 110 were found in Micklefield Way in Borehamwood.

Neighbourhood Inspector Rachael Robertson said: “This discovery resulted in a substantial quantity of drugs being removed from circulation.

Whatever your views on cannabis, the fact is that it remains an illegal drug and we will continue to take action against those suspected of growing and supplying it.

It is a fact that drugs of all kinds are can be the catalyst for the exploitation of young people and violent crime and we will do all we can to prevent this from happening."

A 23-year-old man and a 26-year-old man from Bushey, arrested at the Bushey address are being investigated for immigration offences.

Whilst a 46-year-old man from Borehamwood has been released on police bail pending further enquires.
