Firefighters rescue two children trapped in Bushey bedroom

Two children, aged four and six, were unable to get out of the room

Two young children were rescued by firefighters this morning after becoming trapped in a first-floor bedroom at a home in Bushey.

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said it received a call at 9:47am today (24 October) reporting that two children, aged four and six, were unable to get out of the room.

One fire engine from Watford was sent to the scene.

Firefighters were quickly able to gain access to the property and safely release the children.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews left the scene shortly after ensuring both children were safe and well.

No injuries were reported.
