A man dies after collision involving two vehicles in Hemel Hempstead

Police urge witnesses with dash cam footage or information to come forward

A man in his 50s has died following a collision involving a grey Austin Morris Mini and a white Ford Transit in Hemel Hempstead.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm on Leighton Buzzard Road on 30th November.

Emergency services, including the East of England Ambulance Service and Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue, attended the scene.

The driver of the Austin Morris Mini was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. His family is receiving support from specialist officers.

The driver of the Ford Transit sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

Sergeant Luke Jenkins from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit has urged anyone with information to come forward.

“My thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this time.

“Our enquiries into this incident are continuing and I am urging anyone with information to come forward.

“Did you see what happened? Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you can help," Jenkins said.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dash cam footage should get in contact with police.
