A helicopter has crashed near Wendover.

It happened on Bowood Lane yesterday lunchtime.

Two men managed to get away with minor cuts.

Bucks Fire & Rescue were called out at around 12.35pm.

One appliance and crew from Oxfordshire (on standby in Aylesbury), one from Amersham and an officer attended.

The two men were out of the helicopter, which was on its side, when they arrived.

Firefighters used a medical kit to treat both men for minor cuts, and isolated the helicopter’s fuel system.

A number of other appliances and officers were initially mobilised but stood down before they arrived.
