A Hatfield man has been jailed for more than 15 years after pleading guilty to dealing cocaine and possession of weapons.

Liam Kerwick, aged 38, from Millwards, Hatfield, was part of a gang supplying drugs across the county.

Three of the gang were arrested following a £2m drug seizure in May 2025 and subsequently jailed.

Kerwick evaded arrest but later surrendered himself to police.

Kerwick was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on Thursday 18 September, to 15 years and four months in prison, for conspiracy to supply class A drugs (cocaine) possession of knives and criminal property (£7,885 cash).

A spokesperson from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Operation Relentless team said: “Kerwick was the principal member of the gang, involved in distributing cocaine across the county.

“We will not leave any stone unturned in pursuing these kinds of organised crime groups that deal drugs and exploit vulnerable people.

"The removal of a significant amount of hard drugs from the streets will make our communities safer and reduce associated crime and violence.

"This operation was the result of intelligence supplied by the community, if you have information about drug dealing, tell us and we will deal with those responsible.”
