From 2pm today, the in-person and online Future Tech summit will take place at Silverstone's Interactive museum.

The half-day event will welcome speakers from the world of future tech, alongside some of the very best from Buckinghamshire’s creative, digital and tech sectors. In addition, support organisations will highlight the best places to access specialist funding and business support, and exhibitors will highlight the exciting innovations that businesses can access right here on their doorstep.

Guests will get a chance to network with and put questions to experts in 5G, Internet of Things, AI, Cyber Security, Big Data and the Cloud. Find out what these developments will mean to business and where to invest now, to be a step ahead in the future.

The expert panel will feature: Nikki Dean, Leading Technology Journalist & Face of Formula Woman; Sarah Armstrong-Smith, Microsoft’s Chief Security Advisor; Kieran Arnold, Chief Architect – Future Networks & Systems at Satellite Applications Catapult; Dr Harin Sellahewa, Dean of Faculty of Computing, Law & Psychology at the University of Buckingham; and Peter Parfitt, Head of Digital, Buckinghamshire Council.

Philippa Batting, Managing Director of Buckinghamshire Business First, said: “We look forward to welcoming guests to Silverstone - home to some of the UK's most innovative and cutting-edge technology companies and now synonymous with high-performance and innovation.

“Attendees will be able to hear from high-calibre speakers who will help inspire businesses to put technology into action to maximise business growth opportunities.

“We have been able to host this event in Buckinghamshire thanks to our involvement in a pan European collaboration called Inno Industry, a project which seeks to identify gaps in business support within the digital landscape so that we can help influence future funding for business.”

In addition, attendees will get a chance to look back at the history that has made Silverstone so iconic, with a tour around the Silverstone Interactive Museum.
