Fireworks pushed through letterboxes in High Wycombe

Police seek information after fireworks were pushed through letterboxes, bricks thrown, and assaults were reported in the Castlefield area on Halloween night

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following a violent disorder incident in High Wycombe on Halloween night. Between 6 pm and 11 pm on Thursday, 31 October, officers received multiple reports of fireworks being pushed through letterboxes in the Castlefield area, as well as bricks and bins thrown at properties and incidents of assault.

A man sustained a burn to his foot from a firework, though he did not require hospital treatment.

Investigating officer PC Cameron Parker-Graham said, “We are continuing to investigate this as a priority.”

PC Parker-Graham described the group involved as “10 people described as Asian males wearing dark clothing,” adding that “their faces were partially obscured by masks.”

“We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, dash-cam, or doorbell footage to please come forward,” he continued.
