Firefighters get injured man out of a car after crash in Bucks

A man has been released from a car by firefighters after a crash in Buckinghamshire.

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said the collision involved two cars.

It happened on Bowerdean Road in High Wycombe earlier today (15 October).

Two appliances and crews from High Wycombe attended the scene, as well as an officer.

Firefighters released a man, who was injured, and left him in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

They used an environmental protection kit to contain fluids which leaked from the vehicles.

A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said:

"We received a 999 call at 1.22pm with the caller reporting a collision between two vehicles on Bowerdean Road, High Wycombe.

"We sent two ambulances to the scene; one patient was treated at the scene for minor injuries and a second patient was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital for further assessment."
