Man arrested after fire in Aylesbury

A man has been arrested, after a fire was reported in the early hours of this morning in Aylesbury.

A number of properties surrounding the incident on Hilington Close were evacuated as a result.

Thames Valley Police says the blaze was reported to them at 1.55am.

Officers say nobody was injured, but a man was arrested in connection.

On Twitter, TVP Aylesbury Vale added: 'If you have any info call 101 or go online. Ref: 43220179813.

'A scene watch remains in place at the property and there will be an increased police presence as we carry out an investigation.'
