A farm in Buckinghamshire wants to thank the local community for helping them through two lockdowns by spreading the Christmas spirit.

Green Dragon Eco Farm has lost thousands of pounds due to the pandemic but are still putting on "Farmer Christmas Land" for children throughout December.

The farm is open again after being shut during the second lockdown.

Staff and animals have felt the full effect of the pandemic, with their main source of income in ticket sales being cut off.

Despite this, they have managed to survive and keep the farm running.

Throughout the year they have seen the kindness of the community with donations of food for the animals and a continued support through memberships.

To say thank you they have turned the farm into a Christmas wonderland and hope to spread the festive spirit throughout December.

Kids will be able to meet Father Christmas himself

Jay Wood is the General Manager, he told us they've taken a risk by putting on this event but wanted to give something back:

"Christmas is a very big time for us.

"Our Father Christmas event is vital for our survival over the winter and this year in particular we were desperate to be able to run something because any money that we could generate from that would help us to survive."

Children will be able to hunt through snow pits for treasure and lots more

Jay added:

"Our community and our supports have done so much for us. They have bought us animal feed, fruit and veg, continued to buy membership and supported us when we could be open.

"We really wanted to be able to provide this Christmas joy.

"To not be able to do that would have been devastating for everybody."
