It has been revealed that the magic of Buckinghamshire will soon be bringing the new Cinderella film to life.

Waddesdon Manor, the Rothschild House & Gardens in Buckinghamshire has been unveiled as the fairy-tale castle for the new Cinderella film and will feature on Amazon Prime users’ screens from September 3rd this year.

The release of the trailer this month reveals that the castle will take centre stage in the film and add some English charm to the tale.

Waddesdon Manor was built in a French-renaissance style by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the late 1800s, making it the perfect fairy-tale haven with it’s unique features including elegant turrets and golden brickwork.

Situated within Aylesbury Vale, Waddesdon is the ideal beauty spot to film in; surrounded by a picture-perfect backdrop of rolling countryside.

The beloved country house is already a gem of the region and has attracted visitors from all over to the breath-taking house and grounds.

Having already tasted the limelight, Waddeson Manor has previously featured in The Crown and The Queen as a Buckingham palace double, as Château de Fontainebleau in A Little Chaos, and Versailles in BBC’s McMafia, this will be its most prominent role so far.

It is hoped that its latest appearance in Amazon’s new release will draw in even more attraction.

Kim Hallett, filming consultant for Waddesdon, said:

“Never before has Waddesdon played such a central role in a production of this scale, nor had the chance to shine as an instantly recognisable building in its own right.”

“It’s been wonderful to see such a unique place bring its own magic and charm to this classic tale, and as Waddesdon is open to the public we look forward to welcoming visitors to come and see ‘Cinderella’s palace’ for themselves”.
