East West Rail: Demands in parliament for Aylesbury to Milton Keynes line
The Government says it is still being considered as an option

Demands for the Aylesbury to Milton Keynes link of East West Rail have been presented to parliament.
It's claimed the link, which would connect Aylesbury to toe main rail line between Bicester and Bletchley, was "intergral" to original plans, before later being left out.
Aylesbury's MP has presented a petition in favour of the plans to the House of Commons.
Rob Butler added: "The Aylesbury link would cut congestion on our roads, slash journey times by train and dramatically reduce pollution. It would bring direct benefits to new residents and importantly to people who already live in the town.
"This is just the latest stage of my long campaign to secure the money that will help level up Aylesbury. I have already met relevant ministers and representatives of East West Rail consortium, I’ve asked questions on the floor of the House of Commons and have held an adjournment debate to ensure local people’s voices are heard.
"I will continue to make the case for the railway people in Buckinghamshire do want, rather than the one they don’t."
A Department for Transport Spokesperson said: "We are considering all options regarding the development and delivery of East West Rail, including the connection to Aylesbury.
"We will provide an update in due course."
