Some railway services have been suspended this morning (8 September) as emergency services deal with an incident in Luton.
British Transport Police has confirmed they were called to Luton railway station at 8.11am following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
A spokesperson said:
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious."
Services have been suspended on East Midlands Railway between Bedford and St Pancras International, and Thameslink between Bedford and St Albans.
