E-fit released after girl left in 'fear' in Amersham incident

Police are trying to trace the man after a public order incident.

After a man went up to a teenage girl in Amersham and made several 'lewd comments' - an e-fit has been released.

Police say they are trying to trace the man in the mock-up, after the incident near Plantation Road and Chestnut Lane on Saturday afternoon.

What happened in Amersham?

At around 3pm on 24 September, a teenage girl was walking in an alleyway between Chestnut Lane and Plantation Road, Amersham.

A man ran up to her and made lewd comments to her on a number of occasions.

The girl ran away in fear.

She was not injured during the incident.

Description

The offender is described as a white man with tanned skin, in his late forties, around 6ft tall, of a bigger than average build.

He had short grey scruffy hair and bush eyebrows.

He was wearing a burgundy sweat shirt and long black trousers.

He spoke with a “polite British middle class” accent.

Investigating officer PC Patrycja Lesiakowska, based at Amersham police station, said:

“This was a very concerning incident for the victim, where a man has approached her and made lewd and behaved inappropriately.

“We releasing this E-fit in order to trace him. If you recognise the man in the E-fit or someone matching the description we would urge you to please get in touch.
