Large amount of Class A drugs found in car on A41 near Aylesbury

Two people have been arrested on the A41, after a large amount of Class A drugs were found in a car.

The 26-year-old woman from Hastings and 33-year-old man from Craigavon were detained in Aston Clinton on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

Officers from Thames Valley Police in Aylesbury, as well as the Roads Policing department and Dog Section, stopped a vehicle just after 1pm.

Both of the occupants were arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug with the intent to supply.

A thorough investigation is underway, with the pair being bailed from police custody for related enquires to take place.

In a post on Facebook, officers said:

"We are committed in doing the utmost we can to disrupt the supply of drugs across Aylesbury Vale."
