After a large amount of class A drugs were found in a car in Aylesbury, two men from Luton have been arrested.

The 39- and 27-year-olds were detained after a car was stopped yesterday morning.

In an update on Facebook, officers said:

"With assistance from our Roads Policing department and an Armed Response Unit, just after 11am a vehicle was stopped on Oakfield Road, Aylesbury.

"Following that intervention officers located a substantial quantity of class A drugs both crack cocaine and heroin.

"The message is clear. If you come to Aylesbury and involve yourself in the supply of drugs, we will find you and we will deal with you robustly."

Both of the occupants were arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug, with the intent to supply.

They have been bailed as enquiries continue.
