Hertfordshire Police have fined several drivers for using the A1(M) as a pick-up and drop-off point for those attending Liam Gallagher's concerts.

The former Oasis frontman was performing at Knebworth House on Friday and Saturday night.

There were reports of long queues on the A1(M), with road closures put in place on both nights.

National Highways tweeted to say there were "a large number of pedestrians spilling out onto the road" following both gigs.

The road has since reopened.

Hertfordshire Police tweeted on Friday night: "A reminder to those attending the Liam Gallagher shows at Knebworth today/tomorrow that drop-offs/pick-ups on the A1(M) will not be tolerated. Several fixed penalty notices have already been issued.

"Please use designated on site drop-off/pick-up areas. Thank you.

"In addition, we'll be supporting LiveNation traffic managers tomorrow to prevent poor parking on Park Lane, Knebworth."
