Around £19,000 has already been raised through Rennie Grove Hospice Care's Spring Appeal.

The appeal is focusing on funding vital specialist care for patients with life-limiting illness and helping to keep more families safe and together at home.

The hospice cares for adults and children across West Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Donations have been flooding in to Rennie Grove Hospice Care already, with the appeal expected to run until the end of May.

Tracey Hancock, director of fundraising, told GHR Bucks, Beds and Herts what the money will be used for:

"Everything we raise goes towards providing the care that we do.

"That £19,000 has paid for 666 hours of care, or 28 days of care.

"So that's almost a month worth of care just from the generosity of people who've supported that appeal.

"I'm delighted obviously and incredibly grateful to everybody who has supported it.

"We've all been through the most bizarre 14 months I think, a lot of people have had a really, really tough time.

"We've been really humbled by the fact that our supporters have remained so loyal, they've continued to support us."

People can support the appeal online, quoting 'Spring Appeal' in the 'reason for donation' box.
