Police are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in Croxley Green yesterday evening (Thursday 28 September).

The incident happened in Sarratt Road. At around 6.15pm, a collision occurred involving a black Volkswagen Golf, a pedestrian and her pet dog.

Sadly, both the pedestrian – a woman in her sixties – and her pet died at the scene.

Sergeant Alex Ward, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts go out to the lady’s loved ones at this terrible time.

“We are doing all we can to establish how the collision occurred and I would like to hear from anyone who thinks they can help.

“Did you see what happened or did you see the Golf in the area around this time? Have you got information that could help? Please get in touch.

“I would also like anyone who was driving in the area with a dash cam to check the footage and get in contact if you spot something that might help.
