Dog punched in Great Missenden assault
The dog was picked up by its collar before being punched
A dog has been punched and a woman threatened in Great Missenden.
The victim, a woman in her forties, was walking her dog in woodland at the end of Wood Lane, South Heath at around 5.45pm on Friday (9/7).
A man and woman, who were also walking a dog, approached the woman from the opposite direction. Following a minor interaction between the two dogs, the man picked up the victim’s dog by its collar and punched it in the jaw before dropping it from waist height.
The man then got in to the victims face with both his fists clenched indicating he was going to assault her.
The woman managed to get away with her dog and both were uninjured.
The man is described as white, between 5ft 11ins and 6ft tall, aged in his late fifties. His hair is grey/silver in colour and it is short but not shaved. He was clean-shaven and was wearing glasses as well as a multi-coloured patterned short sleeve shirt and beige trousers.
He was with a woman who is described as Asian, around 5ft 2ins tall of medium build and also in her fifties. She has short black hair.
Investigating officer PC Adrian Reynolds based at Amersham police station, said:
“This was a distressing incident for the victim involved and we would like to speak to anyone who has any information which could help with this investigation.
