Woman bitten by dog in Watford

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of a dog being dangerously out of control in Watford.

The incident occurred at around 7.30am on Thursday March 2nd, in Orchard Park on Gammons Lane.

It is reported that a dog, which is described as a white pit bull-type, attacked another dog before biting a woman. The woman sustained numerous bite marks to her hand, resulting in hospital treatment.

PC Anthony Muller, who is investigating, said: “If you were in the area at the time of the incident, and have not already spoken with police, we would like to hear from you.

“Alternatively, if you recognise the dog from the description given, please also get in touch. Its owner is described as being a white woman, aged in her 40s.”
