Disruption to train services in Bucks and Herts as emergency services deal with incident

A person has died after reports of a casualty on the tracks near Cheddington.

British Transport Police have confirmed officers were called to the line near Cheddington at around 3.30pm today (15 June).

Paramedics also attended the incident, but a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for the force said:

"Officers are working to identify the deceased and inform their family.

"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

There is disruption to train services in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, between Milton Keynes Central and Watford Junction.

London Northwestern and Avanti West Coast Services are at a stand in Buckinghamshire.

Meanwhile the service has been suspended on Southern in Hertfordshire.
