An investigation is underway into a fire in a derelict building in Aylesbury Vale overnight.

The pub in Adstock, near Buckingham, went up in flames at around 9.45pm on Monday.

Bucks Fire & Rescue sent 10 crews to the scene initially.

Firefighters used two main jets, one hose reel, two sets of breathing apparatus, a turntable ladder, a thermal imaging camera and a fog spike – a tool used to punch holes into a structure and deliver water into the inside.

Firefighters were unable to get inside the building.

Relief crews from Brill and Newport Pagnell arrived at about 2am.
