A dog-walker has been assaulted in High Wycombe.

At around 8.30am yesterday (29 October) in Deangarden Wood, the victim, a woman in her fifties, was walking her dog when she became involved in a verbal disagreement with a man regarding access to a footpath.

During the encounter, the man assaulted the woman and made threats before leaving the scene.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

The offender is described as a white man, aged in his mid-20s to 30s, wearing dark grey hiker boots, beige cargo trousers, and a jacket. He had short blonde hair.

The offender had a light beige and white bulldog-type dog, believed to be female. The dog was on a pink rope-style lead attached to a collar, not a harness. The man was also carrying a blue bone-shaped poo bag holder and black dog waste bags.

Investigating officer PC Sebastian Bosher-Williams, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “An investigation is ongoing and I ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to please come forward."
