The Dacorum Climate Action Network (Dacorum CAN) will be hosting its first networking event this evening (3 November).

It comes as COP26 - the global climate summit taking place in Glasgow - is currently underway.

Dacorum CAN has been launched to allow people to network with like-minded individuals and organisations to help them 'think global and act local’.

The first event will be running from 6pm to 9pm at The Forum in Hemel Hempstead.

There will be a range of speakers and stall-holders at the event, where people will also be able to find out about what actions are taking place locally to tackle the Climate and Ecological Emergency, how people can get involved and learn more about what they can do to improve their own carbon footprint.

Attendees will also get a first look at the artwork submitted for the Get Creative for the Climate exhibition.

Dacorum Borough Council will be streaming the speakers and their presentations online.

The link for the stream will be made available on the Facebook event page later.

People can find out more about the Dacorum Climate Action Network online.
