Police appeal for information on cyclist's death in Borehamwood
A man initially showed no visible injuries, but he was later found to have broken and fractured bones
Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after a cyclist died following an incident in Borehamwood.
Officers were called to a report of a man lying in the road on Rowley Lane at 4.25pm on Tuesday 13th January 2025.
The man, who had been riding an e-bike, showed no visible injuries and returned home.
However, he was later taken to hospital where he was confirmed to have broken and fractured bones.
On Friday 16th January 2025, he passed away in hospital.
Detective Sergeant Colin Knowles from Hertfordshire Police's Hertsmere CID has asked anyone driving in Rowley Lane between 4.15pm and 4.45pm that Tuesday to get in touch, particularly if they witnessed the cyclist or have dash cam footage from the area.
“We would like to hear from anyone driving in Rowley Lane between 4.15pm and 4.45pm who may have seen the cyclist, so we establish exactly how he received his injuries,” Knowles said.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone with a dash cam and who was driving in the area at the time in case they recorded any important footage.
