Court for man charged over Thame dad's death

A man accused of causing death by dangerous driving on the M40 is in court today.

28-year-old Gagandeep Rai, from Stafford Avenue in Slough, is accused of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

It's in connection with the death of a dad from Thame last year.

Pete Chamberlain died in the collision in September 2019.

His van crashed with a car, before hitting trees and fencing - with the 38-year-old passing away at the scene.

At the time, his family said:

“Pete was a loving husband and best friend to his wife Gemma and Daddy to Chloe, Rosie and Zac.

“Pete was a kind, happy and hard-working man who was tragically taken from us far too soon and a huge hole is now left in our hearts."

Mr. Rai is due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court today for a first hearing.
