Coronavirus closes Aylesbury Vale school for the day
Waddesdon CofE are shut today (Tues).
A school in Aylesbury Vale has completely closed today, after a member of teaching staff tested positive for coronavirus.
Waddesdon CofE said in an update last night they'll just be closed today whilst they sort the issue.
Headteacher Matthew Abbott said last night:
"In order to assess fully the extent to which students and staff will be required to self-isolate, we have sought advice from Public Health and have decided to close the school for one day as a temporary measure.
"This means that your son/daughter will not be able to attend school tomorrow: Tuesday, 17th November.
"Instead, your son/daughter's teachers will set work tomorrow via Show My Homework.
"I recognize the inconvenience that this may cause some families, but hope that you will understand the caution that we are exercising."
Parents will be contacted if their children need to self-isolate, too.
