It's been a historic night for Labour across the UK at this General Election, but the political picture remains similar to yesterday's across Bedfordshire.

While Labour maintained most seats, winning four in total, Conservatives held the North Bedfordshire seat and regained Mid-Bedfordshire - its previous MP elected at the September 2023 by-election, Alistair Strathern, was re-elected as MP in the new constituency of Hitchin.
