Chilterns Walking Festival is back
It is running until 6 June
The Chilterns Walking Festival begins today (22 May), with more than 80 guided walks and outdoor events taking place.
It is running until 6 June, and will help people explore the area's landscape, villages, nature and heritage.
The activities and events have been designed to appeal to different age groups, interests and levels of fitness.
Whether people are interested in sampling local drinks and produce, finding out about the history of the Chilterns heritage, or trying out a new activity or experience with their family, there is said to be something for everyone at the Chilterns Walking Festival.
Chilterns Conservation Board People and Society Officer, Annette Venters said:
"After months of lockdown we are delighted to be offering such a full programme of events.
"It will be a chance to explore and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Chilterns in small groups, led by experienced guides."
Details of all guided walks, events and activities can be found online.
Most are free of charge, though some require a fee which is clearly shown.
All walks must be pre-booked and numbers are limited to make them Covid-safe.
