Thames Valley Police have arrested a 44 year old man from Buckinghamshire

Thames Valley Police are investigating a collision involving a white Volkswagen Scirocco that struck the barriers at the entrance to Chequers on Missenden Road today.

According to a police statement, the crash occurred shortly after midday. The driver, a 44-year-old man from Buckinghamshire, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

“The driver has sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital,” said a Thames Valley Police spokesperson. “He has also been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and drink-driving.”

The investigation remains in its early stages. “At this point, there is no evidence to suggest any intention to harm anyone,” the spokesperson added.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with information related to the collision to come forward.
