Ex-Watford FC fan favourite Etienne Capoue switches sport to basketball
The French midfielder now plays in the third division of Spanish basketball.
Former Watford and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue has traded the goal posts for basketball hoops!
A few weeks ago, he was rumoured to be retuning to Watford after his contract at Villareal expired.
Instead of a heroic return to Vicarage Road, Capoue's favoured a shock move to B Jovens L’Eliana- a basketball team situated near Valencia.
They play in the third division of Spanish basketball.
The 36-year-old previously said it was his "dream as a child" to play in the NBA.
He's already made his debut for the team, as they won in a friendly.
He won the Europa League with the Yellow Submarines in 2021, as well as reaching the FA Cup final with Watford under Javi Gracia in 2019.
