Three-storey property fire in Burnham

The blaze destroyed approximately 90% of the third storey and roof area of the home

A large fire has broken out at a three-storey detached house on Huntercombe Lane South, Burnham.

The fire was reported at 7:52 pm, on Tuesday, (12 November) prompting a significant emergency response.

At the height of the blaze, thirteen fire crews and appliances, including two water carriers, an aerial ladder platform, a command support unit, and an operational support unit, attended the scene, supported by eight officers.

Fire engines were dispatched from Windsor, Langley, Beaconsfield, Maidenhead, Slough, Whitley Wood, Bracknell, Princes Risborough, Hillingdon, Heathrow, and Marlow.

Firefighters worked diligently using breathing apparatus, hose reel jets, main jets, and the aerial ladder platform to bring the fire under control.

Authorities also isolated the electricity and gas supply and set up cordons around the property.

No information has yet been released about casualties or the cause of the fire.
