With people heading out to parties ahead of Christmas and new year – the mum of murdered student Libby Squire and Bucks resident is urging people to stick together.

21 year old Libby Squire was attacked and killed after a night out she had with friends in 2019.

Now her mother Lisa is urging others to stay in groups and make sure friends and family members have got home safe.

Lisa Squire, said:

“I would love for everyone to be able to walk out on their own but it’s not the way the world is at the moment. If you’re going to a nightclub or a bar, make sure you are walking home with a friend or in a group.

“If you’ve got a friend who doesn’t get into a nightclub, go home with her. Do something different like go home and have a cup of tea. Be practical because if we can be practical, we can be safe.

“If we have safety in numbers, the likelihood of someone trying to offend against you is lessened.”
